There is a lot to do to prepare, yet you’ll be thankful you started early because it can save you a ton of money (because the movers can expidite your move, and it will make your packing and unpacking go much smoother. So we put together this epic moving checklist to ensure you these stay on top of your must-do list.

1. Make “moving” folder both digital with Google Drive and a physical binder that has everything related to your move.

3. Create a budget for any additional costs
Start by getting a moving estimate and knowing how many hours you want to plan to pay for in advance. The longer the movers have to walk the more time the move will take. 8. Make sure all specialty items such as large safes, pool tables and pianos are mentioned.
The movers will need special tools to move these items, and some of the larger (or more expensive) items, may need to be moved on another time before or after the move date.
